Debut : Ehj @ 18 – Bayleaf Hotel, Intramuros

The Debut is a traditional Filipino event to mark the celebration of coming-of-age for young women. It celebrates a young woman’s 18th birthday, the age of maturity in the Philippines, where she is formally introduced as a “dalaga” to the society.

When I first heard that Ehj will be celebrating her 18th soon, I was more than excited. Apart from the fact that she’s Air’s cousin, the theme of the debut is definitely the motif that I have always loved- vintage. The location, the design and the gowns were carefully planned and I was very happy to witness this memorable event not just as a guest, but as a photographer as well.

Tears and laughter simultaneously filled the halls since the program started. Sweet messages from close friends, touching wishes from relatives and overflowing thanks from families welcomed Ehj on her 18th birthday. Proof that she is a great friend, a caring relative, a thoughtful Ate and an obedient child who is truly loved by everyone.
